What is an Exercise Physiologist?
Exercise Physiology uses exercise as a form of medicine, helping to improve health, manage chronic conditions, and aid in recovery from injury. Movement is a powerful tool and when prescribed correctly, it can reduce pain, enhance function, and support overall well-being.
Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) are allied health professionals with extensive knowledge of the body’s systems, including the cardiovascular, musculoskeletal, neurological, and metabolic systems. Exercise Physiologists have university-level training and clinical expertise in prescribing targeted exercise programs to address specific health conditions, pain, and dysfunction.
We use evidence-based exercise prescription to help manage conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and women’s health concerns like pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic pain. Every program is tailored to the individual, ensuring that exercise is safe, effective, and supports optimal function and movement.
By addressing the root causes of symptoms rather than just the surface-level discomfort, Exercise Physiology empowers people to move better, feel stronger, and improve their overall well-being.
